Well, I now have time to update this week. Today and tomorrow are fall "study break." By which the school means, "if you have catch-up work to do, do it. If not, the rest of you have fun!!!!!" Fortunately, I am one of the ones without catch-up work. So, I will do some little tasks that I need to do, and rest, and do some Old Testament reading, and daydream about the fall retreat, and all the friends I miss, especially.........

Oh, there now. I think I'll leave you hanging! Changing the subject,

So sports is really in full gear at Calvary. Our soccer team just made it to regionals by winning on tuesday. Now they have to get through Ozark College, and our feared foes, Manhattan Christian College, which has like the best soccer team in the NCCAA. We're pretty good this year, Manhattan only beat us 4-0 last time we played them, and they usually win by a LLOOTT more. On top of that, three of the goals were mental errors by our spastic but loveable goalie, Scot (I can see him now doing pullups on the goal while we control the ball on the other side of the field for like five minutes while playing one of the teams we beat 16-0. All the fans start chanting "pull-ups, pull-ups, pull-ups!!" Yes. We love our goalie.). Really that game should have been 1-0. It would be so awesome if we could just "accidentally" upset Manhattan in regionals and make it to nationals. We would party at Calvary. It would also be fun because one of my good friends takes classes at MCC! Heh heh, you know who you are!

Well, I guess this post is long enough. One thing I'm very happy about is that College Life Seminar (what your mom told you before you came to college, in more intellectual words) and Personal Computing (difficult for only the most computer illiterate students) are over!!! That frees up four hours of my week, and now I'll be able to have a decent lunch on tuesdays and thursdays and sleep in on wednesdays and fridays, in addition to having more homework time! The final for College Life was sick, but I studied well enough and I think I did well. Ok, everyone, thanks for reading such a long post!! You are awesome have a good week!

I is, a colij-studnt; jAMES

Yay for James the colij-studnt! Being in comp 1 is grand fun, I'm beginning to discover that zoning during class could effect how much I hear of the assignment. lol. So, I've written like, 6 essays so far, and it's been challenging, but in a good way, cuz I LOVE to write.
I'm not going to take any more classes at MATC, but I am going to start taking one or two classes at MCC next semester....I'm doing a choir class there right now, I love it. The people are waaaay cool, and I even got to accompany for a month or so until we got the CD track. haha! I'm ALWAYS playing the piano wherever I go. Surprise surprise.
Levi and I aren't going to make it to the retreat because unfortunately, I have state tournament that weekend......BUT!!!! It's in Wichita!!!! So maybe....just maybe.....you could pop over sometime Friday or Saturday? I don't know if the logistics would get nightmarish, but it's just a thought.
Hey, way to GO on that good volleyball call!!! I'm proud of you, Hot Legs teammate. haha! *sigh* So many things are going to change this year. It's crazy how much has changed in simply 4 years! But it's exciting, even if it's just a bit scary.
Take care, James, family friend, thanks for the update!

Ha!
Well, don't even WORRY about coming to the tourney. I just found out they moved it to Thursday night and Friday all day, so that eliminates you. lol. Too bad! So sad!
Hey, my choir has about 14 people on a good day, so 32 isn't anything to sneeze at. LOL. That's impressive. Next semester, there will be more people, and we'll meet more than once a week, but I think I am definitely going to do it again cuz it is just WAAAY fun.

The retreat could definitely be an option, I'll have to talk it over with Levi and see. Maybe we could come later in the afternoon sometime, or something. It would be awesome seeing everyone!

It would have been funny if you had jumped up when the questions were read... except, you would have had several puzzeled glances and several stares.  That's cool that some of your classes are already over.  Where were you reading from in the Old Testament?  That's what I'm reading right now.  bye

I'm reading in Nehemiah, and pretty soon Job.  Good luck for the game! I hope Calvery does well!

Sounds like things are pretty good over there. Goalie is a hard position, i played goalie when I WAS on a soccer team. easy on dews if you win.

You aren't coming to the retreat??? I hereby sentence you to a life of infamy. lol. Of COURSE you're invited to the wedding!!!! Holy cow!!! haha! It is supposed to take place sometime in the first part of October...but it COULD end up being in August, if Levi and my mom get their way... haha!
I will have fun at the retreat for you, hopefully. It's going to be interesting, being at the retreat and explaining to people how Levi and I are all in love and getting married and everything....lol! They're not going to believe us. haha!

Well, have fun with your basketball and other crazy activities, and I will hopefully be able to see you when you come with your team at the end of the month.

What is this well-oiled grapevine you speak of?
I know of no grapevine!
Okay, I know of it, but I promise I have no hand in spreading any of it around. It's crazy how fast news travels at camp, without seemingly any effort. lol. Okay, so I GUESS most people are aware that Levi and I are getting married....I haven't really talked to any camp people recently, but, like you said, there IS the grapevine...so people might already know...we shall see....

Well la de da.
lol.
Glad you have faith in the grapevine.
Levi thinks he's going to be all mischevious and say to people "Oh, we're just friends." Anyone with half an eyeball in their HEAD could see we're not just friends, so I think his little mischief isn't going to work. LOL.
